You can use HydraPure Water Tank Treatment whenever your tank water starts to feel “off.” If the water has become stale or musty, developed a green tinge from algae, or shows any discolouration after heavy rain, it’s a good indicator that the system needs a clean. It’s also ideal as part of a regular maintenance routine every three to six months, especially for rural homes, lifestyle blocks, baches, holiday homes, and off-grid cabins where tanks may sit unused for long periods.

For standard upkeep: add 1L per 10,000 L of tank capacity. If you’re dealing with heavy contamination or visible algae: increase the dose to 2L per 10,000 L.

After treatment, allow 6–12 hours before using the water again. HydraPure works with plastic, concrete, fibreglass, and metal tanks, and there’s no need to flush the system after dosing.
